Drag Superstar Lady Bunny Coming to Chicago

Lady Bunny, actress, famous drag personality and founder of New York’s Wigstock festival, is coming to Chicago for a rare performance on Thursday, June 18 at Berlin Nightclub. The show benefits “Fish out of Water,”a film about the relationship between homosexuality and the Bible.

Fair Warning – Lady Bunny is certainly not for the faint of heart and the crowd is sure to be treated to a plethora of F-bombs, crude body part references and some impolite comments about Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin and the rest of the right wing. In other words, it will be a blast, but don’t bring your Mom (unless she is VERY cool).

Originally from Chattanooga, Lady Bunny got her start in Atlanta alongside DJ & promoter Larry Tee (he helped launch careers of RuPaul , Scissor Sisters, Fischerspooner, and Avenue D) and was roomies with RuPaul. She, Larry and RuPaul all moved to New York about the same time in 1989 where their careers were really launched.

Sadly, Wigstock is no more, but Lady Bunny is still kicking (hopping?). Wedge yourself into Berlin Thursday night starting at 10 pm and you’ll see why.
