Last week I attended the World Premiere of Public Enemies, the Michael Mann movie about John Dillinger starring Johnny Depp, Christian Bale and Marion Coutillard. There is a lot to tell you. First, the film is very close to my heart. It was filmed in Chicago and 2 very good friends of mine, Bryan Carroll (Producer) and Bob Badami (Music Editor), worked on the film. The cast and crew lived in Chicago for over 3 month and I spent a ton of time with them on set and off.
The film is incredible and you must go see it. When I watched from my theater seat I was amazed at how what I witnessed being shot translated into a beautiful film that captured the 1930’s and 40’s in Chicago and the Midwest seemingly with perfection. This film is going to do very well! Here is the trailer.
