Squirrels are Strange

Since moving to Evanston from Wicker Park, I have been fascinated with Squirrels.  Despite occasional visits from a large hawk, we’ve got a growing family of squirrels living in our backyard.  I’ve heard squirrel horror stories from my neighbors, but so far, they haven’t cost me very much … just the fees for a tree specialist to assure me that the maple they eviscerated to make a home would be okay in the end.  My fascination was indulged recently when this photo started circulating the net and 24-hour news cycle.  And as happens these days, someone with a little talent and too much time took the meme to the next level by launching the Squirrelizer … now you can add this rascally squirrel to your favorite snaps.
