Saturday night fellow all terrain-er Kevin Boyer and myself had the pleasure of being the guest of Chicago Fire President, Dave Greeley and Chicago Fire Owner and Chairman, Andrew Hauptman for the Fire Playoff game against the New England Revolution. The Fire asked us to bring along a friend from the Chicago Blackhawk’s to lead the pre-game ritual that’s the equivalent to the first pitch – it’s called the flag raiser.  We brought Football enthusiast Marian Hossa, along with 2 season ticket holders. They went onto the field before the game and raised the official Fire scarf in their hands to lead fans in a chant of “Chicago Fire”.

The Fire won the game by 2, which is what they needed to continue on in the playoffs. We had a blast, but no one had more fun than Section 8. They have their own cheerleader, websites and obviously their own rules. See the photos of Section 8 on fire with live flares… super dangerous but incredible to watch. Look for more fire action coming up next Saturday. Go Fire!
