We Walked and Rolled for Cancer
This year marked the 1st All Terrain participated in the American Cancer Society Walk & Roll, raising over $2,500 for all forms of cancer, and contributing to the $420,684.48 total raised so far.
This year was very special because the aunt of an All Terrain employee was the walk manager, responsible for raising over $500,000 and securing over $50,000 in corporate sponsorship. The day started early for some, arriving on site to set up at 5:30am. Over the course of the next few hours hundreds of cancer survivors, family and friends gathered to either walk, rollerblade or bike and raise funds to fight against cancer.
Following the walk a cancer survivor celebration took place to honor all those who have endured their own battle with cancer. With the American Cancer Society the official sponsor of birthdays, a huge birthday cake was created and an a cappella group sang the happy birthday song. Each survivor also received a free raffle ticket for a variety of amazing prizes. Special thanks to All Terrain client, The Chicago Fire, for donating a signed jersey!
Also at the walk, All Terrain employee, Noor Aweidah, drew a winner for her self-created “Cooking for a Cure Campaign.” One special donor received a certificate for a home-cooked 3 course meal, made by Noor.
It’s not too late to contribute to the overall $1,000,000 goal.
