Google has formed an opinion about you.

And we don’t mean that in a generic, rhetorical sort of way. We mean it literally. Google actually thinks it knows you. Chances are, from your age & location right down to your likes & interests, it does.

They pegged several of us spot on. And we haven’t yet decided if it’s cool or scary or both. But, thanks to the tip from All Terrain‘er Kate, here’s how to uncover your personal profile:

- Log in to your Google account.

- Then click here to see all of the information Google has inferred about you, based on your web usage.

Don’t worry, they don’t get so specific that you’ll need to worry about certain searches resurfacing. Rather, it’s a comprehensive collection of your surfing habits that combine to produce your Google portfolio.

Yet another reminder that nearly every keystroke has the potential to be analyzed. And, in some cases, flagged for action. Just ask the two twenty-something British dudes who were detained last week at LAX, moments after stepping off a flight from London.

Before taking off, one of them tweeted that he was heading over to “destroy America.” As in, “conquer.” Or “own.” Or “drink a ton, meet loads of women and do a bunch of awesome things.” Ya know, destroy. Like the kids say.

Yeah, well the Dept. of Homeland Security didn’t get the slang. Or the joke. The guys were handcuffed, searched, questioned for five hours, thrown in a van packed with illegal immigrants and detained overnight in separate cells. Once the pair was deemed harmless, they were shipped right on back to England for their troubles. Thanks for playin’, gents! Better luck next ti——- wait, this just in: apparently, there won’t be a next time. They’ve also been banned from America.

Wonder what Google thinks of that.

Fist bump to Rob for sending today’s post!

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, it’s the longest and largest surface area 3D painting ever created. In November, British artist Joe Hill designed the 12,000 square foot piece at Canary Wharf in London.

At first glance, it’s just an awesome image. But look a little closer… and welcome to the crafty world of non-traditional marketing.

How much do you think Reebok paid for that?

If you’re interested to see the piece in its early stages, here’s Hill’s outline, before he really got down to business:

This “whoops moment” is good for an end-of-Monday chuckle. A guest on a British cooking show is so impressed with a piece of the show’s kitchen equipment that he must have forgotten he was on live TV!? Credit to the other two hosts for pretending it never happened.
